Paramedic To PA

Hey Everyone!

I am going to use this blog as a way to both track my journey through PA School (almost half way through) as well as share study tips for Paramedics and PA Students!

I have a HUGE passion for EMS. We learn to follow protocols and we get really good at it! I truly believe you can be a go from a good to a GREAT Paramedic if you take the time to learn HOW and WHY those treatment protocols work and what to do next, if they don't.

I am still very "EMS minded" which means many of my outlines share the knowledge I previously had +  simplified pathophysiology and long term management examples.

Stay tuned! I am really excited to share some of my study materials with you! If there is a specific topic you'd like to see, let me know!

DISCLAIMER: not all of the information and study tips found in these outlines are my own ideas. I took a compilation of mnemonics and tips from classmates and resources such as PPP, Cram the PANCE, PAER, Ninja Nerd, various professors etc

PS I'll still never understand why we learned to use a backboard in PA school since they should HARDLY EVER be used in EMS anymore :,) I legit think in 7 years in EMS, I put someone on a backboard less than a handful of times, other than for extraction. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/10903127.2017.1413465 "Compulsory Use of the Backboard is Associated with Increased Frequency of Thoracolumbar Imaging"
